Barret Adventures
"Jamaica is a land of many contrasts; majestic rain forests, spectacular mountain vistas, scenic waterfalls, rivers teaming with giant tarpon, snook and crocodiles.
Unfortunately, most people who come to Jamaica never even hear about these wonders of nature. They take the advice of some large tour company representative and go to climb the Dunns's River Falls... with thousands of others."
If you want to climb the falls...., he, no problem.
But if you want to explore Jamaica a little bit more, contact Carolyn Barrett. Or visit her website. Yes, this is real Jamaica!

I live in Mobay and must say, it's quite a historic and interesting city. Many of the buildings have quite an interesing story behind them. I wish there was a more active heritage group working feverishly to restore the old buildings as is being done in Falmouth.
I know the government had a programme whereby they offered incentives to building owners to beautify the facade of their buildings. I so wish they would bring that back and make it on going!
A few JTB tourist offices can help you find your way in MoBay:
Jamaica Tourist Board
- in the arrivals hall of Donald Sangster International Airport
- at Gloucester Avenue, in front of the entrance to Cornwall Beach
(phone: 876 952 4425)
- at the Craft Market (corner of Market street and Harbor street)
- at Sam Sharpe Square
