That cruise vacations offer a sense of freedom and plenty of things to do on board and ashore?
That cruise ships are like floating resorts with all the ammenities fine resorts have to offer?
That cruising is not recommended if you want to explore a specific country or area?
That Jamaica has some excellent ports for big and luxury cruise ships and these ports are a popular stop?
That traveling by such a cruise ship is very luxury, very, very relaxing and very, very, very all-inclusive?

All-inclusive sea travel...

Jamaica is a popular destination for cruise ships. Many small and big cruisers visit the ports of Ocho Rios, Montego Bay, Post Antonio and Kingston. Most of the cruise passengers meet Jamaica in Ocho Rios (about 75 percent).

Yes or no?
Getting to Jamaica during a cruise vacation is a way to visit the island. However, a cruise vacation can be very nice and relaxing, it is not a way to explore Jamaica -or other destinations.
Your stop in a port from a few hours maybe is enough to do a little shopping, but it is definitely not a way to truly experience the country.

This is the choice you have to make:
- You want a relaxing vacation on board of a all-inclusive ship with a few stops at exotic islands? Then choose a cruise vacation!
- You want to meet local people, enjoy their hospitality, learn about cultures, taste the way of life of a country? Forget cruising...
- You love being entertained on a deep blue sea, getting shopping under palm trees for a couple of hours and after that sunbathing at the same blue sea again? You're born for a cruise vacation!
- You really want to explore an exotic destination, with all ups and downs? Don't choose a cruise vacation (or at least, choose a combination of the cruise and one or two weeks at the exotic destination).
