What you need....
- 1/2 lb. otaheite apples
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar

- 1 envelope unflavored gelatin
- 1 pint ginger beer
- some fresh yogurt

- let stand for about 1/2 hour, stirring occasionally
- in the meantime peel and split the bananas in three down yards by pushing your little finger through each top to bottom
- cut each strip into 1/2 inch lengths
- combine the bananas and the apples together
- heat water in a sauce pan
- stir in the gelatin continuously until it is dissolved
- remove it from the heat and pour the gelatin mixture into a deep bowl
- stir in the apples/bananas mixture with sugar until the sugar is dissolved
- set a bowl in the refrigerator to chill
- when the jelly is half set, pour in the icy cold ginger beer and quickly stir it into the fruit jelly (don't let the foaming of the beer bother you)
- continue chilling it until it is well set
- serve in ice cream dishes, each with dollops of yogurt at top
