| Orange cake |
| Delicious cake with flavor of fresh oranges |
What you need....
- 6 ozs. butter or margarine
- 6 ozs. caster sugar
- 3 eggs
- 8 ozs. plain flour
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1 orange

How to prepare...
- preheat the oven at 375°F / 190°C
- line the cake tin with grease proof paper
- cream the butter and sugar until light
- add the beaten eggs gradually, beating well between each addition
- sift flour, salt and baking powder
- add this mixture with the grated rind and juice of the orange to
the creamed fat, mix very well
- place cake tin in the oven and bake for about 1 to 1 1/4 hours
- when cold, ice with orange frosting
