Baked banana custard
Ripe banana dessert.
What you need....
  • 4 oz. breadcrumbs
  • 4 bananas, ripe
  • 1 pint milk
  • 1 lime
  • 3 eggs
  • 5 tbs. sugar
  • 1/4 tsp. grated nutmeg
How to prepare...
  1. preheat the over at 350°F / 175°C
  2. remove the threads from the bananas and crush
  3. add 2 tablespoons sugar, the nutmeg and the juice of the lime
  4. place in a buttered dish and cover it with the bread crumbs
  5. beat the eggs, add the rest of the sugar and continue beating
  6. heat the milks and add it to the eggs, slowly stirring
  7. pour this over the bananas mixture in the dish
  8. add a grate of nutmeg
  9. bake in the over until the custard is cooked
