One pot delight
A one pot dish with carrot, potato, peas, bacon, raisins and...
What you need....
  • 1 1/2 lb. carrot
  • 1 lb. Irish potato
  • 1 oz. chocho
  • 10 oz. green peas
  • 2 oz. raisins
  • 1/4 oz. butter
  • 2 oz. flour
  • 8 oz. cheese, grated
  • 7 rashes bacon
How to prepare...
  1. preheat the over at 350°F / 175°C
  2. peal and slice the potatoes thinly and cook then in boiling salted water
  3. peel and dice chocho and carrot and cook conservatively with some fat or butter
  4. boil the green peas
  5. fry bacon and strain
  6. make a white sauce using the bacon fat and some flour
  7. line the bottom of a casserole with some vegetables and s few strips of bacon
  8. put over this a layer of sliced potatoes
  9. pour over a little white sauce
  10. add the remaining vegetables and sprinkle with grated cheese
  11. add another layer of potato slices and cover this with bacon strips
  12. cover with white sauce and the grated cheese
  13. bake in the over for about 20 minutes
  14. serve hot
