Crime?

When we start talking about Jamaica we always are attacked with the words "violence" and "crime". There have been lots of talking and writing about these subjects. Far too much, we think.
We certainly don't deny hat Jamaica has the name to be a violent country but bear in mind that this violency mainly takes place in the ghetto's of Kingston and this violency rarely or never is used against tourists. In New York or Amsterdam there are quarters too which better can be avoided just as in Kingston.

Don't be misleaded, most of the Jamaicans are very happy with your coming to their homecountry and will do their utmost to make your visit to an unforgettable experience.

Red Stripe is the beer of Jamaica. Brewed by Desnoes & Geddes Ltd. in Kingston (and Charles Wells Ltd. in the United Kingdom) Red Stripe is light, crispy and refreshing. A perfect partner for Jerk or a spicy meal. And if you are not hungry Red Stripe is a delicious cooling-down after a day on the beach!
By the way, if you hear a local ask for a policeman, don't think he is in trouble. He only wants a beer...
