Stewed salt fish
Salt fish with curry.
What you need....
  • 1/2 lb. salt fish
  • 2 tomatoes
  • escallion, onion and pepper (based on your taste)
  • 1 tsp. cooking oil
  • 1 tsp. butter
  • 1 tsp. flour
  • about 3/4 pint water
  • about 1/4 tsp. curry powder
How to prepare...
  1. scald the salt fish, remove the skin and bones and cut it into 1 - 1 1/2 inch pieces
  2. heat oil and butter and lightly fry the seasonings
  3. stir in the flour, then add fish and enough water to make a good sauce
  4. cover and stew about 20 minutes, until the fish is tender
