Devilled egg and shrimp casserole
Shrimps baked in the oven with egg and cheese.
What you need....
  • 6 hard-cooked eggs
  • 2 tsp. mayonnaise
  • 1/4 tsp. mustard
  • few grains pepper
  • 3/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 1/2 cups cooked shrimp
  • 3 tsp. butter
  • 4 tsp. flour
  • 3 cups milk
  • 1/4 pound buttered crumbs
How to prepare...
  1. cut eggs into halves and remove the yolks
  2. mash the yolks and mix it with the mayonnaise, mustard, pepper and 1/4 teaspoon salt
  3. fill the whites with the mixture and arrange with cleaned shrimp in buttered baking dish
  4. melt the butter and add the flour and the remaining salt
  5. add the milk gradually and cook in a double boiler until thickened, stirring constantly
  6. then add the cheese and stir until it is melted
  7. pour over the eegs and shrimp and cover it with buttered crumbs
  8. bake in a moderate oven at 350°F / 175°C for about 35 minutes
  9. garnish the dish with devilled eggs, green pepper rings and parsley
