| Pepper pot soup |
| A spicy and tasteful soup. |
What you need....
- 2 qts. cold water
- 1 lb. soup meat or ham hock
- 1 pkg. spinach (frozen)
- 6 okras or 1 cup frozen okra
- 1 large potato, diced
- 1 onion, diced
- 1/2 teaspoon thyme
- 1 chili pepper, diced
- salt (based on your taste)

How to prepare...
- put water in a large soup pan and bring it to boil
- add the meat, spinach, okra and the potato
- cook until tender
- stir and simmer an additional 15 minutes
- add the diced pepper, onions, thyme and the salt
- stir and simmer for the final 20 minutes
